Sure, you could cut loose on a bit of the old Mozart if you wanted, but these fantastic Fender electric violins make really great folk and country fiddles. (In answer to the recurring question as to the difference between a violin and a fiddle – nothing at all! It’s all down to what you do with it; Mozart called it a violin, Alison Krauss calls it a fiddle)
Chambered body, solid Spruce top
Fender’s FV-1 is a full-size instrument, (13” scale), and features a chambered body, solid Spruce top, Maple back & sides, an Ebony fingerboard, plus Fender’s specially designed piezo electric bridge. The tuning pegs are Ebony, as is the chin-rest. The FV-1 comes in its original burgundy velvet-lined Fender hard case.
Finished in gleaming Polar White, the instrument is in Excellent+ condition, with no dings, no chips, no damage, no repairs – it is fully ready to plug in and play. The volume and tone pots are smooth and quiet, and the violin has just been restrung with a set of medium D’Addario ‘Prelude’ strings. It plays great, sounds great, and is exactly what’s required to bring a whole new dimension to your music. Australian RRP for the FV-1 is $949, so at just $690 this is a fantastic buy.
