Hands down the best Mustang we've ever had through the door! This 1966 model is in NEAR MINT condition, complete with its likewise immaculate original hard shell case. Finished in Olympic White - a Custom Color in 1966 - the guitar also boasts a rare slab Brazilian Rosewood board.
One owner
One owner from new, this absolutely stunning Mustang was originally bought by someone who thought he was going to be in a band, however that never happened and the guitar has remained untouched since 1967! (Honestly, the condition is truly astonishing)
Pickups and tone
One of those guitar that makes you smile to play it, this 1966 time capsule carries a wide-ranging sonic palette, with which you will have an absolute ball. With a reverse-wound, reverse polarity bridge pickup, (for noise-cancelling when both pickups are on in the in-phase position), you will be constantly amazed at the tones you can wring out of this incredible guitar.
Condition
So unbelievably clean, it should really be priced more like $4500, (it should also probably really be in a museum), there are just three or four very tiny little dinglettes, (see pic # 4), to show the guitar was ever played at all. Inside the case are the original case key, original Allen key, what appears to be an original Fender "confetti" pick, plus an original Gibson pick, (all shown in pic # 8). Also shown in pic # 8 is a shot of a Fender sales rep's 1966 custom color chart, showing Vintage White as a custom color. And, as shown in the background of pic # 6, there is some highly desirable fine checking in the original nitro finish.
