Fender Squier California Series Strat

The California Series on the headstock may seem a tad out of place for a Fender model that was primarily sold in South America, specially when they’d already had a California Series in the late 1990s, but guitar companies have long been into recycling model names and numbers, (not necessarily looking at you Rickenbacker, or you National!), so we’ll probably let them get away with it.

There’s an old saying in the guitar business – a Strat is a Strat is a Strat. Regardless of where it’s built, or where it’s sold, if it looks like a Strat, has the Fender logo on the headstock, and plays and sounds like a Strat, then it’s a Strat!
