If you can afford an American made Strat, try to go that bit extra to get yourself an American Deluxe. The build quality, attention to detail, the little touches that make it just that bit... more than an American Standard.
American Standards and Deluxes
With a mixed bag of changes - along with accompanying price increases - the two models have now become the American Professional and the American Elite. Two years on from the changeover in models, we receive far more requests for American Standards and Deluxes than either of the replacement versions.
Fast and smooth
Always noted as the top of the line before the Custom Shop, the American Deluxe brings together a solid Ash body; vintage-tint Maple neck, with contoured neck heel, (see pic # 2); rolled fingerboard edges; highly detailed nut and fret work, (synthetic bone nut); locking tuners; vintage-tint plastic and chrome-plated hardware. The headstock features the vintage Fender "spaghetti" logo in classy silver foil. The fingerboard, with its 9-1/2 - 14" compound radius, plays fast and smooth. The classic, two-point tremolo system is super stable and will not let you down.
An early Jeff Beck model
With the Deluxe upgrades and Lace Sensor pickups, (Red, Blue, Silver - pic # 7), you've pretty much got yourself an early Jeff Beck model, for considerably less than one with a photocopied signature on the headstock. (We were once reliably informed that the same bodies were used for both the Jeff Beck and American Deluxe models!)
Free courier delivery
Complete with its original Fender deluxe hard shell case, this very cool Surf Green beauty is so close to total Mint condition that it will easily pass for brand new - as shown in pic # 6, the protective plastic is still on the tremolo cavity cover. With FREE COURIER DELIVERY to any address in Australia, grab yourself this gorgeous American Deluxe Strat, pop Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop album on the stereo and play along to your heart's content!
