Fender dressed the American Standard Tele up in style before discontinuing the model towards the end of 2016 and changing over to the new American Professional series. (For those keeping score, the American Standard became the American Pro and the American Deluxe is now the American Elite)
Custom Shop pickups
Alongside other upgrades, they powered it with a killer set of Custom Shop pickups – a ‘Twisted Tele’ in the neck position and vintage-style Broadcaster at the bridge – this is an absolutely devastating combination! It rings, it chimes, it’s brighter and crisper than ever before… some players have said it’s the closest a Tele has ever come to sounding like a Strat.
Solid Alder body; one-piece neck & fingerboard, with a 9½” radius and hand-rolled edges; medium-jumbo frets; vintage neck tint; Micro-Tilt neck adjustment; deluxe tuners, with staggered post heights, to maintain perfect break angles for each string. Fender really spared no expense on the last iteration of this great model! The modern C-profile neck is satin finished for fast playing, while the thin-skin primer coat on the body allows more music out.
Other premium features include an improved bridge, featuring a solid, stamped brass plate, for a real boost in sustain, plus vintage-style bent-steel saddles, and the famous No-Load tone circuitry, for greater control over your sound.
Other than having been played to record our soundfile, this fantastic American Standard Telecaster is in 100% brand new condition, and ships in its original Fender hard shell case, complete with strap, cable, cleaning cloth and owner’s manual. Shipping is free to any address with Australia, ($100 airfreight to New Zealand, $175 to the US, Canada, UK and mainstream European countries - international freight added at checkout).
