Originally based in New York, Anthony Pelosi subsequently relocated to Austin, Texas, but he custom built this AMAZING guitar in 2002, at his original NYC location, for his then Brooklyn neighbor, Jodi Head, the lady who hand crafts THE best guitar straps on the planet!
Some of the finest in the world
Primarily known for his incredible electric basses, Tony only ever built a handful of guitars, then, after moving to Texas, mostly concentrated on his Audio Monk range of bass effects pedals. His famous Fuzzpotion has been hailed as the best bass fuzz pedal of all time. Likewise, players in the know say his meticulously hand finished fretboards are some of the finest in the world.
Amazing
This amazing LP-style Pelosi creation features one great top-flight feature after another: a 7-ply bound, quilt Maple top; solid Mahogany back; birdseye Maple neck, with a fabulous, hand-carved, soft-V profile, for rock solid playing stability; 3-ply bound Ebony board, with hand-cut, medium-jumbo frets. The 22-fret board features a 9” radius and 25½” scale length.

Around five years, Jodi was moving from a warehouse space to an apartment and needed to drastically reduce her possessions. The Pelosi guitar was one of the items she reluctantly parted with. Shown in pic # 7, is a fabulous crocodile strap, handmade by Jodi as a bonus for the original Australian buyer. The strap has never been on the guitar.
