Airline ‘Twin Tone’ reissue, brand new, LEFTY

Now here’s a nice lefty! You’ve possibly seen David Bowie playing his Supro-branded ‘Twin Tone’… Supro, Valco, National and Airline all came out of the same Chicago factory. Airline instruments were the house brand of Montgomery Ward department stores, and were generally identical to National and Valco, except with the Airline logo on the headstock.

The original Airline brand didn’t make it out of the sixties, and values have been climbing steadily, particularly since Jack White of the White Stripes made the JB Hutto model so popular. The Hutto model is back in production once more, and, after a forty year break, has now been joined by another National/Valco model, the famous ‘Twin Tone’.

This superb Polar White ‘Twin Tone’ is brand new, (only removed from its original shipping carton for setup and photo purposes), and features dual hotrail humbuckers, (with 3-way switching), to really nail that vintage sound. Retro right down the line, you get a 24¾” scale, 22-fret Rosewood board, atop a Maple neck, pearl block markers, tune-o-matic bridge, separate volume & tone controls for each pickup, custom chrome Airline tailpiece and vintage Kluson-style tuners, with Green vintage-style tulip buttons. At only $1025, this is awesome value in a historic re-issue!

The matched pickups on the ‘Twin Tone’ allow you to get as bluesy as you want, or rock out with the best of them. You can sweeten it up for the odd ballad, then crank it back up again and nail the punters to the back wall of the venue! You want a versatile axe, the ‘Twin Tone’ delivers on all fronts. AND IT’S A LEFTY!

Brand new, in its original shipping carton, with factory-fresh D’Addario 10’s fitted, your Airline ‘Twin Tone’ is ready and rearing to go
