The revered tone and build quality of these MIJ models comes with a huge saving – you can pay three to four times more for a US-built ’62 reissue – which might not sound nearly as authentic. Looks almost new
In Excellent+ condition, with just some light playwear on the scratchplate, this 2007 model has really been looked after. The frets are perfect, the board is perfect, the paintwork is perfect – the whole guitar looks almost new!
Best Strat necks
Alder body; vintage correct non-skunk-stripe Maple neck; proper staggered-height pickup pole-pieces; proper six-point tremolo bridge, with proper bent steel saddles; vintage-correct Kluson style tuners; vintage-correct single string-tree. And the necks on these guitars are some of the best Strat necks you’ll ever experience – this one plays like silk!
Shell Pink
Shell Pink is one of Fender’s rarest and sexiest colors, (now apparently exclusively reserved for Custom Shop models). This example is slightly more towards a mushroom-pink than our previous model – and looks fabulously sleek and classy. The vintage-tint scratchplate and the aged pickup covers contrast perfectly against the paintwork, as does the period-correct “slab” Rosewood fingerboard.
