Our Styx-signed Strat here features the early 2000s lineup of James Young, Tommy Shaw, Glen Burtnik, Todd Sucherman and Lawrence Gowan, and was signed in March of 2002, at a double bill gig with REO Speedwagon in Portland, Oregon. The guitar’s original owner worked at a local music store and met the band backstage. He had carefully removed the scratchplate, taking it to and from the show in his backpack. Originally on a considerably more expensive guitar, he had purchased this 2012 Strat and subsequently transferred the signed scratchplate across.

Condition

The 3-tone Sunburst Stratocaster features an Alder body, one-piece Maple neck and fingerboard, American vintage-style bent steel saddles and all chrome hardware. The guitar is in Excellent++ condition, having been virtually untouched since 2012.
