One of the coolest looking Les Pauls we’ve ever had through! From the initial 1998/99 production run by Gibson Historic, these limited edition double-cut Standards came in an assortment of exotically named colors, including Red Hot Tamale, Black Pepper, and this absolutely stunning Green Jalapeno.
Condition
Completed in late February of 1999, the guitar is still in MINT- condition, its original owner declaring, "It was too pretty to play.” It’s literally been in its case, unplayed, for 23 years – it still has the original Gibson strings from when it left the factory! (We will put a couple of sets in the case for you)

Very subtle
When we got this in, we thought the back of the guitar was black, but once we were able to see it in good light, we realised it’s actually a very dark green, in keeping with the Jalapeno. A very subtle, very cool look.
Neck carve
One other very cool feature is the neck carve. This is one of the nicest Gibson necks we’ve ever encountered. It’s thin, very much like a Rickenbacker neck, making for lightning fast, extra comfy playing. We don’t know if all the Double-Cut Standards had the same neck, but this one is amazing.
