The top PRS luthiers
Once the composite parts have been selected, the top PRS luthiers go to work assembling each Wood Library creation, culminating with what is invariably a stunning paint job that amplifies all of the fine timber qualities. Finally the pickups, electronics and hardware – also all hand-picked – are installed and tested, ahead of final inspection of the completed instrument. Then it’s into its top end PRS case – in this instance magnificent black paisley – and on its way to a store or dealer.

The guitar is brand new, (2018 build), with a solid Mahogany body, 10-grade quilted Maple top, (“10 Top”), Flame Maple neck with matching Autumn Sky finish(!), Ebony fingerboard and matching matt Ebony headstock facing(!!), and premium grade mother-of-pearl bird inlays.
Increased clarity and dynamic range
Neck carve is Pattern Thin; pickups are an 85/15 at the bridge, and a “low turn” 58/15 at the neck, for a superb mix of increased clarity and dynamic range; plus a 5-way pickup selector switch. PRS 3rd generation tremolo system, and nickel & gold hardware round out the metal parts.
