PRS / Paul Reed Smith Singlecut Trem, 2007

After Gibson's lawsuit went away, PRS put the Singlecut back into production, but it was the Singlecut Trem that garnered all the 5 star reviews. Available from 2004 - 2008, the acclaimed model had abslutely everything going for it: the thinner singlecut body shape, featuring a Mahogany back and carved Flame Maple top; Mahogany neck; 25" scale/10" radius Rosewood board; the highly desirable Wide-Fat neck carve; premium Abalone dot inlays; and uncovered PRS #6 pickups, with coil-split on the outer coils.

The spectacular, custom ordered Emerald Green brings an oceanside tranquiity to the flame of the Maple top - you can almost hear gentle waves breaking on a moonlit beach in the background.

Matched #6 pickups

The regular Singlecut model received some criticism for a slightly thin sound. The Singlecut Trem addressed that issue, with the matched # 6 pickups delivering powerfully meaty and more clearly focused mids. With the coil-split engaged the guitar clearly has the tone of a vintage Strat in its sights!
