The seventies’ solid Ash body is there, too, along with the 4” pole-to-pole pickup spacing, which contributes to that extra bit of snap in the highs. Throw in what Fender called a thicker 1975 U-shape neck profile, (really just a slightly deeper modern-C), 7¼” fingerboard radius, vintage-style hardware, vintage-tall frets and a bone nut, and you’ve got one of the best basses Fender have ever built!
