Well, there’s also the vintage correct Alder body, the soft-V profile Maple one-piece neck & fingerboard, Pure Vintage ’56 pickups, original ’56 style bridge with authentic ’56 saddle stamping and more. Other than coming standard with the convenience of a 5-way selector switch, the ’56 AVRI* went out of the way to completely recreate all of the design features and specs of the original 1956 Stratocaster: original 1956 shape headstock, with original Fender Deluxe tuners; bone nut; 8 hole; single-ply white scratchplate; and of course the striking Shell Pink nitro finish – already showing signs of the lovely vintage checking that’s so highly valued among vintage collectors.
Awesome condition
Complete with its original Fender tweed hard case and case candy, (including the ashtray bridge cover, vintage cable, and the impressive ’56 Strat archive goody bag, shown in pic # 7), your new favoritist Strat is in absolutely awesome condition – straight out of a private collection. The protective plastic film is still on the scratchplate, so remove that and you’re pretty much looking at a brand new 2013 American Vintage ’56 Stratocaster! Until we recorded our soundfile, it was in complete Mint condition, but as we managed to scuff the rear trem cover plastic slightly during recording, we’ll call it Near Mint now.

*While Fender’s year specific reissues have not always been as exact as many would like, the AVRI models produced between 2012 until the introduction of the American Original Series in 2018 featured the company’s most meticulous level of vintage accuracy ever offered. Fender went to the effort of restoring original factory tooling dies and recreating the original vintage nitro paint formulas, as well as reinstating the original production line processes for these models
