Completed on the 28th of August, 2001, this one-off Mastersound was a custom order for a young guy working at his local music store. He liked the MS500 model Mastersound, but, as the store was a Maton dealer, he was able to put in an order for an MS500 to be specially fitted with a pair of the old-school, full-size humbuckers from the MS2000 – with coil-split to both pickups.
A monster!
This thing is a monster! Huge, clean sound, with amazing string-to-string definition, and all the power you could ever dream of. If you need a comparison, think a beefy seventies Les Paul Custom, with a smidge more top end sparkle.

Condition
The original owner has gravitated to more roots-based acoustic music, and the guitar has been sitting unplayed in its case for several years, so the condition is overall Excellent. Average light playwear, plus a scattering of tiny dinglets/impressions here and there – but from a couple of metres away, it looks almost new. Most of the Sunburst finish looks like it was sprayed just last week!
