Description

One of the guitar industry's most innovative companies, Sweden's Goya were first heard from well over a century ago, and can claim credit for introducing the now-standard ball-end guitar string, as well as the practice of placing company/brand names on the headstock. The first Goya electric guitars appeared in the 1950s, built by their parent company, Levin. Later in the decade, electrics production was shifted to Hagstrom and Galanti, before moving to Italy's Zerosette in the mid-sixties and Eko into the seventies.

Cool looks / killer sound

So, from Sweden via Italy, this is one of the most exciting vintage guitars we've had through the door in some time – a Zerosette-built, Goya Rangemaster in factory Caribbean Blue finish, (similar to traditional Surf Green), and in Near Mint condition!! Everything about this guitar is cool! The body is cool. The neck is cool. The headstock is cool. The sounds it makes are very, very cool! It covers a lot of musical ground, but just looking at it you can tell that it's a killer surf guitar!

So many buttons!

Look at all those buttons… add 'em up - fifteen different tone combinations, "including the new fabulous 1-4 sound."  The 1965 Goya catalogue went on to explain that the fabulous 1-4 sound gives you "ultra-high treble combined with deep-low bass, with no loss of sharpness or depth." But wait, there's more – the Rangemaster even has that most desirable vintage guitar selling point – an all pickups OFF button!,

Superb European craftsmanship

Double cutaway, contoured body, adjustable neck, (and what a stunning piece of northern European Maple!), 3-way adjustable bridge, orange-wrap Ducati paper capacitors, plus truly exquisite craftsmanship under the scratchplate that puts most other makers – past and present – to shame.

Famous Rangemaster players

Famous Goya players over the years have included Mason Williams, (of 'Classical Gas' fame), Melanie, Stevie Nicks, all of whom played Goya acoustics, while the big name on the electrics team was Jimi Hendrix, with a paisley finished Rangemaster thinline.

Condition

In Excellent+ condition, and complete with its original hard shell case, this isn't just a cool vintage guitar, it's a real piece of guitar history!
